AIKIDO OF MADISON

Aikido of Madison is a member of Aikido Schools of Ueshiba, an organization headed by Master Mitsugi Saotome, a personal student of O-Sensei for 15 years. Sensei (Master) has been teaching Aikido in the United States since 1975. We who practice Aikido in Madison consider ourselves fortunate to be able to train under an inspiring teacher who was so close to the founder of Aikido. Aikido Schools of Ueshiba is in turn associated with the International Aikido Federation, whose headquarters is in Tokyo, Japan, and whose current head is Moriteru Ueshiba, the grandson of the Founder.
Aikido of Madison holds beginning and advanced Aikido classes six days a week at 2219 Atwood Avenue. Please call (608) 231-3935 for the exact class schedule and fees. Visitors are always welcome. If you would like to contact us via regular mail, our mailing address is 2222 Hollister Avenue, Madison, Wi. 53726.
We conduct special introductory classes two or three times a year, but you may join any time. Before you do so, we ask that you watch classes at least once and that you pay for one month of training before you get on the mat. After that, you pay by the month. You can watch any scheduled class and there is no need to call ahead. Just come in the front door, have a seat and someone will come over to see if you have any questions.
